yooooo!
whats going on?!
a lot actually
im hitting the studio FINALLY! with my band for a week or so.
we are gonna come out with 4 brand new songs. we have more than 4 songs but we decided to record only 4
we are gonna record with Jesse Cannon at Cannon soundation studio in Union city
and our producer Mike Woods from Damone is gonna come down and play the leads and give us some ideas on whats good or not.
unfortunately our drummer phil is a party animal and had to get drunk with his friends and play with beer bottles lol(over exaggerated) but a beer bottle broke and he cut himself and had to get stitches on his left hand
so he cant play until the 12th is when we start recording drums. so since we cant 100% rely on him we have to hire a studio drummer. we are gonna give phil a chance to record but we have worked so hard on this for him to even try. so the best way to get this done is to get someone to play his parts if he hasnt fully recovered. but then again phil has been with us since december. we are only record 4 songs and we worked on them for 7 months now and he stil cant remember them front and back. he plays with a notebook with notes on whats next and sometimes he still forgets his parts. only drummer i know/ever played with who cant memorize a song. so hes wasnt 100% prepared for this anyway.
I was gonna take an hour or less off from recording on July 18th to fill in for Dave 2's band, The Tonight Life. but im not allowed too bc my band said i need to record. i understand i need to stay focused on recording but i dont get why i cant hook up dave2 for an HOUR when the other members of the band can have one whole NIGHT off to play a basketball game or go party for a friends engagement party. weird i dunno but i feel bad that they dont have someone to fill in
anyway... im pretty excited to record.
